As you rest, cozy and warm in your wall tent with your wood stove burning, the early morning 3:30 a.m. wake up call arrives. Once your eyes are wide open, you’ll join fellow hunters in the cook tent for a hearty breakfast.
Then, it’s time to saddle up and start your ride into a place hunters can only dream of being surrounded by. Hearing the clanking of hooves and rushing of water, all while under a blanket of stars. Anticipation stirs for what the day may bring. As your boots land and you pat your trusty horse in appreciation of its hard work, the shivers begin to slowly disappear feeling the warm rays of a breathtaking 10,000-foot sunrise.
As the peaks light up, the woods come alive. The elk bugles echo, flowing through the mountains like the life’s blood of the Rockies. Mule deer & elk flock to the meadows, and the hunt is on.
The day is spent chasing Wyoming’s finest big game animals. Once darkness starts to set in, the ride back to camp is spent reflecting on the days adventure. Dinner awaits you, as well as an entire camp full of great stories from fellow hunters.
